Government to print lotus on Indian passports as part of security. After issues were raised, the Center clarified the same. Check out Twitter's reaction on it.

The External Affairs clarified on Thursday after Lok Sabha raised an issue on printing of Lotus on Indian passports that the motive behind adding the same was part of the enhanced security feature that will help identify fake passports. The ministry also added that this symbol will keep changing if it is the national flower this month next month it will be the national animal. These changes have happened as part of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines. However, members were protesting at the Lok Sabha claiming that the symbol also represents the logo of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and said that the government was 'saffronising' the country. Twitterati however, reacted to the same.
