Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel's Doctor Strange 2 trailer is all about messed up timelines, characters making a comeback, evil twin and a whole lot of madness.

Looks like things are about to get ugly! After a year of anticipation, fans finally got to see the trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The trailer that was earlier a part of Spiderman's post-credits scene is now officially out and fans cannot keep calm. The sequel of the 2016 film will release in theatres on May 6, 2022. The film is directed by Sam Raimi with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the titular role. The rest of the cast includes Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Stranger’s former lover, Christine Palmer, and Elisabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.

The new trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gives us a glimpse of everything crazy that's about to unfold in the MCU as our favourite cast works together to solve it. The events of the movie will kick off from Strange's appearance in Spiderman: Far From Home. Spiderman reaches out for Strange's help to deal with his situation and something terrible happening at the end of it gave us a clue on the next Dr Strange movie. The trailer starts off with Wong's voice warning Strange against using the memory spell warning him about the dangers. This movie will be exploring the outcomes of his tampering with reality and the multiverse.

Check out the trailer here:

One thing that we know about Strange from the Spiderman movie is that he's not the Sorcerer Supreme but Wong is because of the blip. But despite Wong's warning, he ended up using the spell. While Spiderman went to Strange for help, he in turn went to find help from another superhero, Wanda Maximoff. She will be returning to the battlefield after the events in Westview that we saw in the DisneyPlus series, WandaVision. The trailer also gave a glimpse of some other characters that we saw for the first time after the first film. Chiwetel Ejiofor will return as Baron Mordo who had left the sorcerors on learning the secrets of the Ancient One. In the post-credit of Dr Strange, we had seen him trying to reduce the number of sorcerers so as to stop them from messing with time and magic.

The new addition to the cast is Xochitl Gomez as a superhero, America Chavez or Miss America. Although we get to see very little of her in the trailer, fans cannot wait to see how her character unfolds in the movie and the whole universe. In the trailer, we get to see him trying to prove the same to Stephen Strange, with a new look, of course. The other character that drops in is Evil Supreme who we all saw in DisneyPlus' What If...? Fans will get to experience the live-action version of the two Strange going up against each other while one tries to deal with finding a solution. The only character that did not show up in the trailer was the Norse God, Loki (Tom Hiddleson), who also has a part to play in the multiverse as seen in his DisneyPlus series, Loki. Considering how we had our minds blown in Spiderman with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield joining in on the fun, it's only fair to wish that Loki will be part of this movie.

The trailer looks interesting enough for every fan to start sharing their theories online and discuss their thoughts! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
