Most fashionable night of the year, Met Gala 2022 returned on Monday and these celebs made heads turn, adorning some of the biggest brands.
Met Gala 2022, aka “fashion’s biggest night out,” or the "first Monday in May", is back to its usual time slot of the year and was held on May 2! After being held in September last year and canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic, the most fashionable night of the year saw some head-tuning and eyeballing looks this year. With the theme of “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” serving towards being an exploration of American fashion and focusing on inclusivity in fashion, Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Celebs chimed in with their A-game to celebrate the museum’s new exhibition.
Organized and presided over by Anna Wintour since 1995, Met Gala is officially a charity considered to be a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Over the years, its annual opening fashion exhibition has become a much-loved annual celebration of fashion. Keeping the theme in mind, this year the gala celebrates the evolution of the American style. So celebs take on the 'Gilded Glamour, White Tie' dress code, and have been encouraged to approach late 19th-century clothing through a modern lens. The official co-chairs of this year were Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and with them, many A-listers from actors, models, to singers and designers were in attendance.
