Mickey Singh and his music have managed to connect with thousands of millennials and music lovers. Ever since his first mixtape came out in 2013 featuring songs, Bad Girl, In Love and Rani Mehlan D, the singer has only grown leaps and bound. His songs have a blend of Punjabi and American music with an influence of Jazz and seem to fit right in with the music taste of the urban Indian population.
The 28-year-old singer was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, into a Punjabi Sikh family. His musical journey began at the early age of 3. Mickey and his family moved to the United States when he was 13. It wasn't before he turned 15 that Mickey started to learn Mixing. Soon after he started working at an American studio to advance his career in music. His first mixtape came out in 2013 with numerous other hits following its success. So far, he has sung, written and directed a total of 31 songs.
Mickey Singh has also collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh in the past. Mickey wrote the lyrics and produced music for his romantic song, Ishq Haazir Hai. The song also secured the number 1 song on BBC Asian Network's download chart in its first week itself. The talented artist has also performed alongside singing sensations such as Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Ali Zafar, Manj Musik, Raftaar, Badshah, Imran Khan, Jay Sean and also with actors like Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Harjot Dhillon.
In January 2019, Mickey Singh performed the half-time show for the NBA basketball game in California. AND his next gig is going to be much, much closer to home! Yes, Mickey Singh is going to be present at Social Nation - A festival for fans and creators. The 2-day-long festival is going to be held at the Jio Gardens in Mumbai on the 18th and 19th of October 2019.
