India remembers it's achievements #OnThisDay
Time passes by but the memories always stay with us. On the 24th of September, there had been certain events that went on to become iconic and historic. People on twitter are sharing this blast from the past and are helping us refresh our memories.
Back in 2007, the inaugural Twenty20 International cricket world championship was held in South Africa from 11th to 24th September. The match had twelve countries participating in the tournament which India manage to win. Team India did so by defeating Pakistan by 5 runs making it a win to remember.

24th September was also the day for us to make history in space. Mangalyaan, the Mars orbiter, which was launched on 3rd November started orbiting Mars since 24th September 2014. This mission was lead by a group of incredible women and will be remembered as one of the most iconic events in the history of Indian Space Research experiments.
This day is also legendary for the Indian Football fans. Back in 1977, Mohun Bagan a West Benga based athletic club of professional football had the opportunity of a lifetime. The FC didn't just play against football legend, Pele but also managed to score a 2-2 draw.
