We love watching movies. It doesn't matter if it's in the theatre or from the comfort of our homes. Getting lost in the story, sitting with a tub full of popcorn, and that two to three hour escape from an otherwise mundane day, now this is what makes the movie-watching experience so wholesome. But given how many movies release every year on a global platform, it's hard to keep track of the ones we want to catch up on when we have the time. It's a different story that more often than not, we're constantly looking for free time.

Thanks to the lockdown, this isn't a problem anymore. With ample time at our disposal, it's been easy to catch up on movies and TV shows that we missed out on. Specifically, those that always leave us asking for more aka Oscar-nominated movies like Tenet, Jojo Rabbit, Parasite, Joker, La La Land among others. These movies have a fantastic storyline, talented cast and they're all directed just so well. Plus the only thing they have in common is that they've been nominated at the Oscars. That alone is such a break from every rom-com where boy meets girl and they live happily ever after. While we enjoy our share of feel-good movies every now and then, it's movies like these that keep us on the edge of the seat.
