The Summer I Turned Pretty starring Lola Tung, Chris Brighney and Gavin Casalegno is the current talk of the town. As episodes drop each Wednesday, the longing for a new one is pretty high up there! And as we kill time by scrolling over edits on Instagram, theories on X and memes all over the internet, there’s actually quite a lot of other content similar to this genre of story that we can watch! The Summer I Turned Pretty revolves around a love triangle between Belly and the two Fisher brothers. Set in a dreamy beach house in Cousins, North Carolina, the show gives us part rom-com and part high school teen drama feels! It’s no news there’s tons and more similar content on OTT today but we’ve filtered out the ones that feel the closest to the series in terms of story, the love triangle, adaptation from the book and how it makes one feel!

Materialists - Prime Video

The Summer I Turned Pretty and Materialists have way too many things in common and hence of course it had to be at the top of our list. Just like Team Conrad and Team Jeremiah are debating over the internet post every episode, Materialists too has two very strong contenders to pick from! There’s the rich and classy Pedro Pascal and there’s head over heels in love Chris Evans who’d do anything for the love of his life. The two stories are also made by Korean American women hence certain elements of romance feel quite similar. And lastly, both Materialists and The Summer I Turned Pretty were the most discussed love triangles this summer! So if you haven’t, you need to watch this film already!

Challengers - Prime Video

Tashi, a tennis coach, transforms her husband, Art into an ace tennis player, only for both of them to face her ex boyfriend, Patrick on the court! Tensions rise as she juggles between her past and her present. Starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, this one’s another love triangle you don’t wanna skip!

True Beauty - Netflix

Even though K-dramas are known to have second leads, we always tend to lean towards the first lead more because the story just makes it that obvious! Well, not with this one! We were as conflicted as Lim Joo-Kyung was when she had to choose between Lee Su-Ho and Han Seo-Joon! Both the boys had a charm of their own and you’re bound to feel bad for at least one of them as you watch the show!

My Life with the Walter Boys - Netflix

Another brother love triangle anyone? If you loved deciding between ‘Team Conrad’ or ‘Team Jeremiah’, you’re gonna love choosing between ‘Team Alex’ or ‘Team Cole’ too! When Jackie leaves her Manhattan life behind and moves in with the Walter family, she finds herself stuck in a love triangle with the boys in the house! This one looks like it’s bound to give us major deja vu from The Summer I Turned Pretty!

Outer Banks - Netflix

If Belly’s Cousins beach house looks dreamy to you then set in a similar town in North Carolina is Outer Banks! The show also revolves around teenage love stories on sandy beaches and looks like the right choice to fill that void The Summer I Turned Pretty leaves behind!

Maxton Hall - Prime Video

Maxton Hall is based on a series of novels just like The Summer I Turned Pretty. When Ruby, accidentally uncovers a secret at her high school, millionaire heir James has to keep her close. And if you thought Conrad and Belly had palpable chemistry, just wait until you see these two on-screen!

Dawson’s Creek - Prime Video

Similar to The Summer I Turned Pretty, Dawson’s Creek is also filmed in the picturesque backdrop of North Carolina. The series revolves around two best friends, Dawson and Joey who’ve been in each other’s lives since they were kids. But as they grow up and go into relationships with other people, their equation comes in to test!

The Notebook - Prime Video

This one’s an honorary mention for Jenny Han! Since The Summer I Turned Pretty has so many parallels to the Notebook, you cannot help but want to watch the film all over again! Conrad’s yearning for Belly reminds us so much of when Noah and Ally were apart and both the series and the film are bound to make you cry, or make you feel extremely single!
