Indian YouTuber and content creator, Prajakta Koli aka Mostly Sane has secured a nomination for 48th Daytime Emmy Award for her documentary with former US first lady, Michelle Obama. The Youtube original documentary was part of the Creators For Change and also includes American-Indian YouTuber, Liza Koshy, and South African native creator, Thembe Mahlaba. Nominated under the category of Outstanding Daytime Non-Fiction Special, the documentary shows the creators talking to girls from Vietnam, India, and Namibia who are pursuing education while overcoming various struggles. This special award ceremony will stream on 25th June 2021.

The three creators have a conversation with Michelle Obama talking about the importance of girl education and the adversities they have to go through to get their basic right to education. Koli visited Lucknow to understand the issues and challenges that the kids in the smaller districts of India face to get through their formal years of education. She interacted with the students of the Prerna Foundation to get a clear picture of the same before sitting down with the former first lady and author.

YouTuber, Prajakta Koli has also released her debut short-film Khayali Pulao last year, which was on the same lines. Khayali Pulao follows a 17-year-old girl who tries to get into her school's handball team. It focuses on her struggles to make it into a team despite being an amateur as she fights the stereotypes attached to a woman being in sports. The film was also able to touch on other themes like freedom of choice, the banishment of archaic prejudices, and the importance of street hustle. Khayali Pulao will also be screening at North America's oldest and most prestigious Indian film festival aka the New York Indian Film Festival. This will take place from June 4 to June 13, 2021.
