While Jaane Jaan marks Kareena Kapoor Khan's streaming debut, it's Jaideep Ahlawat's performance that stands out in this psychological thriller according to the Janta

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Netflix's Jaan has an ensemble cast of Vijay Verma, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Based on Japanese mystery writer, Keigo Higashino’s novel ‘The Devotion Of Suspect X’, Jaane Jaan is based in Kalimpong and keeps its focus on single mother, Maya D'souza (Kareena Kapoor Khan) who tries to cover up the murder of her ex-husband with the help of her neighbour/ local teacher, Naren Vyas (Jaideep Ahlawat) who's not-so-secretly in love with her. Investigating this case is Karan Anand (Vijay Varma) who seemed to win the hearts of the Janta with his portrayal of a funny but focused cop who has the hots for the prime suspect of this hot case aka Maya D'souza.

While some of the Janta found similarities between this murder mystery and Drishyam, most quite liked the character development and specifically Jaideep Ahlawat's character arc. As predictable as they found Jaane Jaan, the cast managed to make this a film worth watching.
