India on Monday released a list of apps that has been banned in the country that has a Chinese link. Mentioning that these apps are hateful to the sovereignty, security and integrity of the nation. The list of 59 apps that have been banned includes popular apps like TikTok, ShareIt, UC Browser, etc. Playstore and App Store have taken down TikTok from its store in India following the ban. TikTok however, released a statement stating that it has complied with all the laws of the Indian judiciary and has not shared any information with any foreign government including the Chinese government.
