The days of competing with a swarm to get selected, for you to showcase your talent are bygones. You no longer need to star in a movie, music video or a TV Series or be “deserving” as they say, to gain stardom or be a “talented” entertainer. Make a video on this platform, and the rest will be history.
The window of opportunity is 15-second long and you can use songs from the vast list and number of filters to strain imperfections.
The app has reached 150 million daily active users until 2018 and was the world’s most downloaded app in the first quarter of 2018.
While being a social networking platform puts TikTok in the big league, but comparatively it seems far behind Facebook or Instagram’s user-base although it may catch up, in a while by collaborating with brands to use their platform for marketing and in the course touch-basing the brand’s audience and in turn building their demographic.
Most followed people on the platform at least have over a million followers, so you know, they’re "famous". The users include a few celebrities as well, who do it for the fun of it.
