The Intern gets a Hindi remake with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan


The famous duo of Piku, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan is back with the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, The Intern.

The talented actor, Deepika Padukone is all set for her next and second collaboration with the legendary, Amitabh Bachchan. The actress welcomed BigB aboard for the Hindi adaptation of, The Intern. Describing Big B as her "favorite co-star", Deepika made the big announcement on Instagram.

Amitabh Bachchan did not leave behind and taking on Twitter, he shared the poster of The Intern with a message.

Amitabh Bachchan has been cast in the role which was supposed to be played by Rishi Kapoor initially. But after his sad demise, the news on who should be cast opposite Deepika was still put on hold up until this news. The Intern is a Hindi remake of the 2015 Hollywood hit film of the same name. The film is based on the paths of a 70-year old's second chance at life and middle age successful businesswoman's crossing and them forming a beautiful bond with each other. Bachchan will be seen essaying the role played by versatile actor Robert De Niro and Padukone will be stepping into the character portrayed by, Anne Hathway. This film is also produced by Deepika.

Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan were last seen as daughter and father in Shoojit Sircar's 2015 much-applauded film Piku. We can't wait for this to hit soon and see this duo back together on-screen.
