Haseen Dillruba is a story of a young woman, Rani who is obsessed with crime thriller novels. Even though she grew up in an urban setup, she sets out to marry in a small town, and here's where her story starts off. Rani is bold, beautiful, and wants adventure in her life and marriage, while her husband Rishu is a typical nerd who is too bland for her. With the lack of excitement in her marriage, she happens to have an affair with the hunky-dory, complete opposite of her husband, Neel. But the twist in the tale comes when her husband dies a horrific death and she is accused of plotting her husband’s gruesome murder. But as the investigation delves into her rocky married life and a torrid affair, what seemed like an open and shut case, turns into a complex whodunit.
