This was quite a week for the entertainment industry! We've experienced all sorts of emotions with Matthew Perry's loss, SRK's birthday and so much more and we're covered it all in this E Roundup!

The week unfortunately opened up with the saddening news of Matthew Perry's death. While we were processing our feelings and dealing with this loss, there was a lot happening around the world of entertainment. Aishwarya Rai's 50th birthday, the week-long Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, the launch of Jio World Plaza, SRK's birthday with Dunki's teaser and Jawan's extended cut release on Netflix, and so much more. On his birthday, Shah Rukh Khan was surprised when he saw the crowd outside his house at midnight. And tweeted a sweet humble note thanking his fans for coming out to wish him and called himself a mere actor who lives to entertain us all. 

FRIENDS cast and makers talk about Matthew Perry's loss

As the world was dealing with Matthew Perry's loss while remembering their most beloved character Chandler from FRIENDS, his on and off-screen friends, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer and the makers, Marta Kauff, David Crane, and Kevin Bright put out a statement mourning his loss. 

Jio World Plaza Launch 

Recently the launch of Jio World Plaza, the most expansive luxury mall located at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, saw a starry night affair with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and so many more faces. 

Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival wraps up 

The MAMI Mumbai Film Festival which started on October 27, 2023, has finally wrapped up officially with just a few screenings going on till November 5, 2023. As big stars like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, and so many more graced the festival, it was the lineup of more than 250+ film screenings, Q&A discussions, a market of cinema, and just a celebration of cinema as a whole. Scarlett Johansson sues AI app for non-authorised use

According to reports, Scarlett Johansson has taken legal action against an AI app that has cloned her images and voice in an ad without her permission. Lisa AI: 90’s Yearbook & Avatar posted a 22-second advertisement on the social media platform X. It used real footage of the actor to create an artificial image and dialogue for her.

The Mean Girls cast reunites in Walmart ad 

Walmart hopes to draw new attention to its Black Friday offering by advertising around the annual holiday shopping event. The giant retailer will unveil a series of commercials featuring members of the 2004 movie “Mean Girls” reprising their roles except now they are adults.

Chamak Teaser unveiled 

Chamak follows the story of Kaala, a young aspiring rapper who comes back to Punjab from Canada and unravels Taara Singh's death. Taara Singh was a legendary singer who was shot dead in the midst of a packed performance.
